Further Details

Katalyst D2D 26.1

Released April 2026

Version 26.1 introduces data clustering to improve interpretation of chromatographic results, and improvements to the Signals Notebook integration.

Experiment Design

  • Create mixtures with more than two solvents.
  • Assign total volume option for mixtures.
  • Perform aspirate and dispense actions within the same container.

Data Analysis

  • Group unknown chromatographic peaks across wells.
  • Create data clustering plots.
  • Import preprocessed chromatographic data sets (i.e. peak integrations from third-party software).
  • Calculate initial rates of decay in kinetic plots.

Signals Integration

  • Export multiple custom calculations/functions to Signals Notebook experiments, e.g., yield, % ee, conversion.
  • Map material classes upon import of experiments from Signals Notebook into Katalyst D2D.

Ease of Use

  • Notifications (pop-up and email) for successful and failed experiment finalization.
  • Link related experiments.

Katalyst D2D 26.2

Released July 2026

Version 26.2 introduces new features for visualization and interpretation of chromatographic results through peak coloration, and further enhancements to the Signals Notebook integration.

Data Analysis

  • Option to apply chromatographic peak colors for material classes.
  • Direct batch import of analytical data files to experiments.
  • Expansion of Tables widget to include Analysis type, Instrument parameters, and Analytical Data Table values.
  • SuntheticsML integration—push Bayesian (EDBO+) optimization results into Sunthetics for data visualization.

Signals Integration

  • Export custom tables to Signals experiments.
  • Expanded import of configurable Signals Property fields (meta data) .
  • ‘Reactant Role’ in the Signals Subexperiment Layout is populated with Katalyst material class values.

Katalyst D2D 26.3

Released October 2026

Version 26.3 introduces end-to-end data capture and sample tracking across high throughput purification workflows and other improvements.

Introducing support for high throughput (HT) purification workflows

  • Submit samples to a searchable submission dashboard. The software tracks the progress and status of each sample.
  • Automatic mapping of the best prep method for each sample, or sets of samples, based on results of crude QC runs.
    • Auto-processing and visualization of chromatograms.
    • Select method scoring parameters to define the “best method”.
    • Choose to override automatically selected “best method”.
  • Track sample and vial mapping between prep vial locations and fraction vial locations.
  • Set criteria for fraction pooling. The software auto-recommends the appropriate vials for fraction pooling (visualize color-coded fraction pooling in plate format).
  • Email notifications are sent once sample purification is complete.

Experiment Design

  • Option to set recursive or non-recursive search of material databases.
  • Define well barcodes (previously barcodes could only be defined for plates).
  • Import mixtures via SD files.

Data Analysis

  • Improved 2D NMR data visualization (expansion of 2D NMR data types and more).
